What you'll hear
A quiet forest after dark, with the natural sounds of the night carrying through the trees. Insects form the main texture of the recording, with small movements and distant sounds appearing and disappearing around the steady nighttime atmosphere. The changing activity gives it a gentle sense of movement without ever becoming distracting.
How it was recorded
Forest Night was recorded outdoors after dark, with the aim of preserving the atmosphere of simply being there: the uneven rhythm of natural sounds, the distance between them, and the quieter spaces in between. It has been kept as an environmental soundscape, lightly shaped, so the forest remains the focus rather than being smoothed into a perfectly continuous background.
How to listen
There is no need to follow a particular sound. Let the layers of the forest sit in the background, close enough to notice but distant enough to become part of the room around you.
Forest Night works well for sleep, meditation, reading, or simply slowing down at the end of the day. For sleep, try a 30–60 minute timer; for meditation or quiet focus, 15–30 minutes. The recording stands on its own, and the natural variation is part of its character. If you'd like, you can still add a tone beneath it from the player.
